We’re looking for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central developers to take our new beta exam. Are you responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining solutions based on Dynamics 365 Business Central? If so, and if you develop apps that extend Business Central, including customizing or adding extra functionality, be sure to check out this exam. Additional helpful qualifications include the ability to integrate Business Central with other applications, such as Microsoft Power Platform apps.

If this is your skill set, we have a new certification for you. The Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate certification validates your expertise in this area and offers you the opportunity to prove your skills. To earn this certification, pass Exam MB-820: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer, currently in beta.

Is this the right certification for you?

As a Business Central developer, you’re responsible for troubleshooting and debugging issues in the system that may involve identifying the root cause of a problem, fixing bugs, and testing the solution to ensure that it works as expected. You have applied knowledge of Business Central and the application language (AL), the development environment, and other tools to develop extensions for it. You need some knowledge of how to install and upgrade the system. You should also have knowledge of AppSource and Business Central–related technologies, frameworks, and services to build solutions and technologies for application lifecycle management (ALM), including source control management (SCM) and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
